Dr. Jim Lai

Dr. Jim Lai had undertaken the role as advisor to various groups for a variety of corporate exercises including mergers, acquisitions, divestments, backdoor listing, and reverse takeovers of public listed companies.

He was also involved as advisor for various corporate and debt restructuring exercises involving listed entities.

Amongst the projects Dr. Jim Lai advised are:

• Interim Management to carry out the reverse takeovers for a turnaround of a second board construction and property group
• Corporate and debt restructuring of a number of large diversified listed Groups
• Independent Financial Advisor and Monitoring Accountant for a group of banks in relation to a telecommunication Group
• Investigations, due diligence, strategic reviews and consulting assignment for large listed conglomerates
• Acting GM in the CEO’s office for two listed Groups advising, developing and implementing restructuring strategies
• Privatisation of Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad
• Strategic Reviews and restructuring of Government owned entities
